Busy

I got a lot done today. It always helps when I write a list of things to do the night before, because I feel more duty bound to that scrap of paper lying in my purse. Haha. I went to work and tied everything up there, so I no longer work for Med-Co, which makes me sad because I loved the place and the people. I took my car to get the wiper fixed, found out how much I owe on it and looked into selling the thing. I looove my little red jelly bean. I'm going to miss it, but I'm excited to get a new car.

I'm feeling crappy today. It's not fun being a girl at times. The weather seems to reflect my mood, as it's windy and rainy outside. My dog peed on the carpet four times tonight, and the trash bag broke all over the floor when I pulled it out. I had a big mess to clean up, that's for sure. On a lighter note, I made some awesome tuna steaks with mango salsa tonight, plus I baked a cherry cheesecake for my dad and brother afterwards. Theraputic. Not eating any of the latter, though, this gluten free business plus working out every day has helped me drop 4lbs in a week. Woo!

I have to research sea freight shipping prices tomorrow, so that I can send my DVDs, CDs and other random decorative things across ahead of me. Matt's been busy getting the office ready for the business launch on March 2nd. I'm sad I probably won't be there, but I'm working on getting my stuff taken care of. Plus, doing the homework and learning a whole new market takes time, and I have that right now!

I started re-reading one of my favourite books of all time last night, Dracula, by Bram Stoker. If you've never read it, do it. It's a classic and it'll suck you in to the fabulous fantasy of Transylvania and the world of the Count. Next on the list is Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky; what can I say? Post-Twilight marathon, I needed something challenging! Haha. Plus, being in my old room with my old books is fun. I love reading.

Matt and I decided on the date (we hope!) of our wedding/renewal; June 17, 2010. It'll be our four and a half year wedding anniversary. I've already been looking at dresses and venues tonight, and I'm soooo excited!! I'm finally getting to have the wedding that I've always dreamed of, with all of my friends and family present. We're going with something very us. There'll be bright colours, an outdoor ceremony, a big reception with live music at a fabulous venue and lots of little surprises thrown in for good measure. As excited as I am, though, I'm not going to really get going on things until around September, as I have two weddings to attend before then, (one of them being my bridesmaid, and dear friend, Tammy's), plus one of another member of my wedding party (whose husband and close friend of mine, Chris, is an usher) is about to give birth to a baby boy! It's all hectic.

My weekend...

Was mostly spent at home, attempting to be productive. I packed just over half of my closet into those space bags (that suck all of the air out of your clothes), cleaned out the last of my cupboards and got rid of a ridiculous amount of trash, worked out twice, had dinner with a friend and sushi with another, watched three films and did five loads of laundry. It was decent.

I hung out with a dear friend of mine on Friday night, and as the evening grew old, it started to snow. Needless to say, having endured our share of blizzards and snowmen this week, we stood strong and stayed out, only to wait in a two hour line to get a taxi home. (The taxi which couldn't even make it close to my house because the hills were too icy. There will be photos below.)

I'm sitting in front of the TV now, watching the BAFTAs, post-work out with a cup of green tea. I'm going to find out how much I owe on my car tomorrow, then get to work on selling it. This moving business is tiring.

Snowy Swansea through the window

Take two, plus my cup of tea

Chicken teriyaki box & ridiculous amounts of fruit. We're healthy...

The closet... so far

It's almost 1am. I'm watching Buffalo 66. I looove this movie. Today has been good, not so busy, though. It snowed again, but wasn't as epic as Monday. :( I met Steph at TGI Friday's this evening, we hung out and went to Tesco; land of the free. Haha. I finished buying the rest of Matt's V-day gifts and wrapped them when I got home. I need to post them tomorrow.

I hate being apart, especially on days like that. It's so depressing being around fluffy teddy bears and heart shaped candy boxes when you know you're going to be alone. Ugh. Ah well. There are many more to come. I'll probably be spending it with some of my girls, which will take my mind off of things. I'm finally getting my broken laptop taken care of via the insurance company. It'll take a while, but hopefully all will be well soon. I need my own! I'm tired of borrowing my brother's.

Work outs are kicking my ass, but I feel so much better. Not eating gluten has helped me feel so much healthier and my tummy hurts a lot less now. With time, I'll get to where I want to be; physically and internally! Sleep now.

Ok, so I missed a few days...

...But there really wasn't a lot to report on! I've been doing lots of mindless paperwork, making copious phone calls and sorting/cleaning/packing. Boo. Yesterday, though, things got interesting again. Number one... I bought my bridesmaid's dress, yay! Here's a picture:

And I love it! So pretty. Not only that, but it started snowing yesterday afternoon, and proceeded to a blizzard this morning. There was around ten inches of snow on my wall outside!

But it was beautiful. My brother and I walked up to my sister/brother in-law's house to see our nieces. It was such a pretty journey, though might I add that walking 3 miles in deep snow (each way) is tiring!

(Bella loved it)

My oldest niece, Hannah, and I built a snowman the same height as me! It took us over an hour, but he is awesome.

After building the monster snowman, we decided to leave, and I purchased some sushi on the way home as a treat for my efforts. Yay for snow days!
